A Year of Octopi

I used the Octopus as a model first because I thought they looked cool, and their flexible bodies meant I would always be able to shape them into any form. Even their incredible skin can morph into all sorts of shapes to mimic the world around them, pretty ideal from an artists perspective. This meant as I could adapt quickly from my last attempt and apply new lessons and tools as learned how to better handle them. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported my exploration into sculpting our friend the cephalopod, the opportunity you provided me to explore repousse and chasing into this medium has taught me things I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. It's also reminded me of how much further I have to go, and what a big and wondrous world of sculpting it is out there. So thank you very much!

Thanks for joining in the fun with me!
